Together for your child

Private Paediatric Practice in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth

Kinderarzt Düsseldorf

How the team found each other

Dr. Baumgart, as a "lone fighter" in her practice, was unable to provide her patients with the comprehensive service that she imagined professionally so she was looking for helping hands. Following Dr. von Lilien-Waldau's retirement as chief physician of the Children's Hospital of the Florence Nightingale Hospital, he did not want to give up his passion, nor let his patients down and was looking for a nice location to continue his favourite work.

Dr. Lilien-Schmidt loves her job and was looking for a way to combine it with her family needs (3 pre-school children) without having to drive to Cologne (University Childrens' Hospital).

Mrs. Bonsmann has been working with Dr. Baumgart since 2012 and  helped develop the Paediatric practice. She enjoys being a paediatric nurse a lot but seeing as she has teenage children herself, can only works part-time and so was looking for support to offer longer opening hours to our patients.

Sister Nicoletta Siepmann was the soul of Dr von Lilien-Waldau's Paediatric Practice at the Children's Hospital of the Florence Nightingale Hospital over the last 20 years. She wants to continue to do what she loves and does best: to take care of healthy and sick children, to advise parents and answer their questions that do not need qualified paediatrician’s answer.

We are delighted that this unique constellation has brought us together to form this wonderful Paediatric Health Care Centre.

Our Concept

The sick and the healthy child and their parents with their worries, needs and questions but also with their feelings of happiness are at the center of our thinking, feeling and acting.

We treat your child gently and sensitively without being hesitant.

We are understanding and open with the parents. Nevertheless, we are straightforward in our actions, open with our principales, but tolerant in our opinion.

However, we are (almost) uncompromising when it comes to your child’s health.

We avoid unnecessary examinations and therapies.

We three doctors work in the same direction, but we allow ourselves, in addition to different emphases flexibility in exercising our "medical art".

The paediatricians

In many ways we are very similar, but there are some differences:

Dr. Baumgart has a wealth of professional experience, and with children of her own who have just entered into adulthood she has a lot of understanding for adolescents.

Dr. Lilien-Schmidt has in-depth knowledge of and understanding of all needs of young mothers with small children, and a great medical knowledge and experience from simple cold over daily behavior problems to the most serious illness.

Dr. von Lilien-Waldau has experience with virtually every situation of a Paediatrician in the care of children and adolescents and their parents.

The mix does it.
